Cookie Policy

Draft — confirm this matches your final cookie/tracker set and consent approach, and have counsel review, before relying on it.

The short version

Dreamie uses only the cookies and local storage it needs to work. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell your data. Because of that, most visitors won't see an intrusive consent wall — but here's exactly what we store.

What we store

  • Sign-in session (essential): an opaque cookie that keeps you logged in. Without it you can't stay signed in.
  • Session id (essential): a per-tab identifier used to run the app and tie first-party analytics events to a visit — not a cross-site device fingerprint.
  • Theme preference (functional): a local-storage value remembering your light/dark theme so the page doesn't flash on load.
  • Cart (functional): remembers the books in your cart between page loads.

Third parties

Some providers we rely on may set their own cookies when their features load — for example Stripe during checkout (fraud prevention) and your sign-in provider (Google / Microsoft) during authentication. These are governed by those companies' own policies. We do not embed advertising networks or social-media trackers.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the essential ones will break sign-in and checkout. For more on the data behind these, see our Privacy Policy.
